Two gigs in a row. I haven’t done that in a while. This Thees Uhlmann & Band [DE] gig was outdoors, free of charge at Games Com City Festival. Many, many years ago – in 2014 – Frank Turner had played on that stage as well and I stood somewhere in the back to watch it. This time I wasn’t sure if I’d get a better spot further in the front, so I only packed my zoom lens, which I don’t really use all that often. I thought this was a good ocassion to practice with that one a bit and take some nice shots from the back.
But then I easily got a good spot in row 4 and regretted not bringing a my regular lens to switch to or the compact camera. I got some good shots of Thees, but couldn’t zoom out to capture the whole stage / band.
So, these first few photos are from my phone.
This is my favourite of the zoomed ones, because it turned out quite sharp without me needing to edit it.
