After 11 hours of travel I got home from the UK last night. All went fine, but it had been a long day so I just had a bite to eat and went to bed. This morning I didn’t sleep in as much, but I stayed in bed listening to the latest audio book of the “Dale Detectives” series for ages. I was in no hurry to do anything and that’s basically exactly how the day went down. I had a very late breakfast and just read a lot. Watched some TV. Unpacked my suitcase. Ordered and picked up some pizza as my fridge and food cupboard were pretty empty.
There had been a time when I would have felt bad for just “wasting” the day being lazy, but I realized today that I’m past that and how good that feels. Lazy days are allowed. There is nothing to feel guilty about. There was nothing that needed to be done today.
Hopefully I will get around to share more photos from my trip to London and Oxford in the next few days. We’ll see how it goes when “real life” kicks in again tomorrow. I’m working from home though which will be a good way to ease back into it. And it’s less than six weeks till I’m off to the UK again for my proper summer vacation. Argh! That feels really soon now.
Anyway, for now here is the one (of many tried and failed) photos of topsy-turvy St. Paul’s Cathedral…
